Another year passed by

We’ve all lived through a few “Covid years,” and it feels wonderful that life has finally returned to normal. Hooray! We can enjoy art in person again instead of only online, and we can meet one another face‑to‑face. Still, I’ve grown so accustomed to Zoom meetings that I wouldn’t mind continuing them—no travel required. A friend even told me she prefers buying art online because it saves her the trip to the gallery, and the artwork arrives right at her doorstep. What’s your take on that?

During those Covid years, I also picked up new hobbies, one of which is filmmaking. I find it even more engaging than traditional 2D fine art. Not only can I apply what I know from painting—composition, light and shadow, colour theory—but I also get to explore music, sound effects, and movement in this art form. So far, I’ve created a few short films. I also learned some AI effects and apply them to my movies.
